Anaheim’s founders had German roots. Anaheim has always been proud of its heritage. City founding fathers named many streets after Anaheim’s early women settlers. Incorporated in 1876, Anaheim was a typically American city until 1954 when something happened; Disneyland.
Disneyland opened in July 1955. Some original attractions are still popular today. Walt Disney declared Disneyland a place for age to remember the past and youth to anticipate the future. Opening day, invitation only guests were expected. Copied invitations resulted in double the guests entering. Disneyland has been crowded ever since.
California Adventure is a little sister to Disneyland. Building California Adventure took a miracle because there was no space. The Disneyland parking lot became California Adventure. For an expected doubling traffic, Disney built the biggest parking building in America. Entrances to the parks face each other with both upgrading constantly to bring more magic to Anaheim.
Downtown Disney is Disneyland without park entry. Everything Disney from Dining to shopping and Disney style entertainment is in this Anaheim gathering spot. For many coming to Disneyland, “downtown” is a starting and farewell point with many of the best hotels in Anaheim located nearby. Many excursions to museums, for shopping or to the beach for surfing start here in downtown Disneyland.
Transport to the Anaheim Resort area, Disneyland, Anaheim convention center and other attractions, is easy with Disneyland Transportation from LAX airport. Excellent Anaheim hotels are located near downtown Disneyland. Transport is also possible from Santa Ana’s John Wayne Airport.
Anaheim is proud of the Anaheim Convention Center with 815,000 sq-ft of exhibition space, largest on the west coast. The center is part of the Anaheim Resort complex containing Disney parks, beautiful landscaping and more Anaheim hotels
Each January since 1901, Anaheim has hosted the world’s largest music trade show. The NAMM show not just a trade show but also a music happening for those that make music and those that promote it.

It is no secret that the way in which the world currently uses energy is not sustainable. Currently, most of the most used forms of energy come as a result of fossil fuels which are in fact finite and will certainly not last forever, especially at the rate that they are being burned through.
